Howard Brown Health is seeking Medical Assistants to support patient care across our Chicago clinics. The role involves rooming patients, recording vitals, collecting specimens, and assisting providers during visits. You will work under the care team to ensure smooth patient flow and adhere to PCMH standards.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, completion of an MA program, and BLS certification. Prior clinical experience and HIPAA proficiency are highly valued for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA program completion required for advanced levels.
• BLS certification required; CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA certifications may be preferred for higher levels.
• Experience in a medical setting and PHI/HIPAA compliance knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vitals; collect lab samples and prepare for ancillary services.
• Assist licensed providers during in-person and virtual visits and document histories.
• Maintain infection control, clean and organized exam rooms, and proper equipment maintenance.
