Job summary

Howard Brown Health is seeking Medical Assistants to support care delivery, room patients, record vitals, and assist providers during appointments and procedures. The role includes lab specimen handling, vaccines administration, EMR documentation, and maintaining exam rooms for efficient clinic flow.

Experience ranges from MA I to MA III, with required certifications and ongoing training. Opportunities exist to train externs and support other HBH locations.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant I requires high school diploma and 0–2 years of experience in a medical setting.
• BLS certification is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vitals.
• Assist licensed providers during in-person and virtual visits and procedures.
• Perform EKG, spirometry, hearing, and vision tests.
• Support lab specimen collection and processing per guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and sterile technique; ensure clean examination rooms.
