Job summary

SFP Health Group is seeking a proactive and compassionate Bilingual Medical Assistant to join the Clinic Operations team. This role combines administrative responsibilities with direct clinical tasks to support patients and healthcare professionals.

You will assist in examinations, record vital signs, manage EMR, handle scheduling and referrals, and coordinate with LabCorp and Quest as needed. Strong bilingual communication and patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting.
• At least 6 months of recent experience in phlebotomy.
• Strong proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and manage challenging patient interactions.
• Completion of MA program with Diploma but not required.
• Certification as CMA or RMA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
• Accurately record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent health information.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms before and after a patient visit, ensuring they are clean and fully stocked.
• Conduct basic clinical procedures including blood pressure measurements and specimen collection for lab tests.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and injections under supervision.
• Manage scheduling of patient appointments, diagnostic tests, and referrals as required.
• Update and maintain EMR, ensuring patient data is current and confidential.
• Process prescription requests and adjustments following physician approvals.
• Return patient calls on behalf of providers to relay information or obtain details.
