Qualifications

• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and patient management skills.
• Completion of MA program with Diploma (not required).
• Certification as CMA or RMA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Record patient histories, vital signs and health information.
• Prepare and stock examination rooms before/after visits.
• Conduct basic procedures: blood pressure, measurements, specimen collection.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and injections under supervision.
• Schedule appointments, tests, and referrals.
• Maintain and update EMR with accurate patient data.
• Process prescription requests with physician approval.
• Handle patient calls and provide call center support as needed.
• Address general patient inquiries by phone and route to clinical staff.
