Job summary

Vista Community Clinic (VCC) is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a busy outpatient setting in Oceanside, CA. You will take vitals, assist with examinations, perform venipuncture and immunizations, and maintain patient records under clinician supervision.

Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to help serve diverse patients. The role also involves room preparation, specimen handling, and providing patient education and translation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clinical Medical Assistant certificate from an approved program preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful for translation and patient communication.
• Experience with back-office medical procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist clinicians with examinations and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, immunizations and basic lab tests.
• Maintain electronic patient records and assist with documentation.
• Provide translation between clinician and patient as needed.
• Support room setup and supply management.
• Ensure patient satisfaction and proper referral processing.
