Job summary

LCH Health and Community Services in Kennett Square, PA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinical team with patient-centered care and administrative tasks. You will help prepare patients, assist providers, and ensure smooth patient flow in a bilingual setting.

The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), a graduate of an accredited MA program, CP R certified, and has 2–3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Current or eligible MA certification in Pennsylvania.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits with vital signs and health history.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and point-of-care testing.
• Perform injections, screenings, ECGs, and specimen handling.
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR.
• Support follow-ups, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Provide patient education and assist with care coordination.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in team huddles and community outreach.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinical team in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This role combines hands-on clinical responsibilities with administrative support to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare patients for visits, including vital signs and health history
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and point-of-care testing
• Perform tasks such as injections, screenings, ECGs, and specimen handling
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR
• Support follow-ups, referrals, and prior authorizations
• Provide patient education and assist with care coordination
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
• Participate in team huddles, meetings, and community outreach
• Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Schedule Expectations

• Full-time position with at least one evening per week until 8:00 pm

What You Bring

• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ABHES)
• Current or eligible MA certification in Pennsylvania
• CPR certification required
• 2–3 years of clinical experience preferred
• Experience in community or public health (preferred)
