Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in Flushing, NY is seeking a full-time Health Insurance Enrollment Outreach Specialist to support Medicaid enrollment services for ABD populations.

The role requires coordination with outreach staff to engage community groups and educate applicants about health insurance options. The position demands an Associate degree, 1 year of enrollment/outreach experience, bilingual abilities in Chinese, Korean, Spanish or Bengali, and proficiency in Word, Excel, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of health insurance enrollment & outreach work experience.
• Must be bilingual in Chinese, Korean, Spanish and/or Bengali.
• Skills in developing business contacts and collaborative professional relationships preferred.
• Computer proficiency, with experience in Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Outreach Coordinator to implement ABD program outreach activities.
• Assist to establish contacts with community groups to reach uninsured and underinsured populations.
• Assist in connecting with organizations serving Aged, Blind & Disabled populations to raise awareness of Medicaid enrollment services.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct outreach to educate prospective applicants on health insurance options.
• Identify, educate, and enroll qualified ABD individuals into Medicaid programs with Medicare assessments.
• Ensure applications are accurately completed and meet submission deadlines.
• Attend internal and external trainings and meetings.
• Stay updated on government-sponsored health insurance program changes.
