Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned-preferred
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum
• Use varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs
• Plan and supervise instructional aides and volunteers
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement
• Sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned
• Maintain professional relationships with parents and community members
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings
• Perform any other duties as assigned
