Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned-preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and reflect accommodations for individual differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and technology to meet students’ learning needs as per TEA guidelines.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust instructional activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEP students.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods; supervise aides/volunteers.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities and serve as a positive role model for students.
• Create a conducive classroom environment and manage behavior per school policies.
• Assist in selecting instructional materials and maintaining reports and records.
• Establish professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
• Participate in staff development activities and comply with regulations; attend faculty meetings and serve on committees.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
