Job summary

Gándara Center’s Boston Youth Violence Prevention Program (BYVPP) seeks a Master’s Level Clinician who is bilingual English/Spanish to serve families in Boston and surrounding neighborhoods. The role focuses on behavioral health, family therapy, and community-based services, with responsibilities at home and in the community.

Candidates must hold a master’s degree in a human service field, be able to navigate public systems, drive as needed, and work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human service field from an accredited college/university.
• Training and working experience with youth and families in family therapy.
• Experience navigating child/family-serving systems and advocating for families.
• Strong communications, administrative and organizational skills.
• Active driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle.
• Bi-Cultural and Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish must; others a plus).
• Ability to work with diverse populations and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Behavioral health assessment in the youth’s home or family location.
• Development of a youth and family-centered treatment plan with consent.
• Transportation arrangement for clients and ensuring license/insurance validity.
• Risk management/safety plan development with youth and caregiver.
• Family/individual therapy using evidence-based interventions.
• Identify community resources and natural supports for treatment goals.
• Provide or secure crisis/emergency services as needed.
• Collaborate with agencies and professionals (case managers, probation, teachers, etc.).
• Inform agency of emergencies or critical incidents.
