Responsibilities

• Provide Mandarin-English interpretation during project meetings, site discussions, and daily team communications.
• Translate written materials, including emails, reports, project updates, meeting notes, and general documentation.
• Facilitate communication between Mandarin-speaking engineers, management, and English-speaking contractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Support construction project coordination by communicating schedules, updates, technical questions, and follow-up items.
• Assist with preparing bilingual meeting summaries, reports, and correspondence.
• Help clarify project instructions and ensure accurate communication between teams.
• Support communication regarding construction procedures, safety expectations, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers and administrative teams on documentation and scheduling as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling project and business information.

HotFoot Recruiters is hiring Bilingual Mandarin-English Translators / Interpreters to support communication and project coordination for a growing international construction and engineering company involved in semiconductor and high-tech facility projects in Phoenix, AZ.

This position is ideal for candidates who are fluent in Mandarin and English, communicate professionally, and are comfortable working with engineers, project managers, field personnel, and international teams.

Construction industry experience is highly preferred, but candidates with strong bilingual communication skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.

• $30–$33/hr – With relevant translation or construction experience
• $28–$30/hr – Entry-level / Without direct industry experience

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English required, including strong verbal communication and comprehension.
• Previous translation, interpretation, bilingual coordination, or administrative experience preferred.
• Construction, engineering, semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, engineers, contractors, and management.
• Comfortable learning construction terminology and technical vocabulary.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately convey information between both languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working onsite in an active construction or project-based environment.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to manage communication across multiple teams.
• Entry-level candidates with strong Mandarin-English fluency are welcome.
