Colonial Group is seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Specialist to support loan processing and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on accurate application processing, document verification, and keeping systems up to date.

You will contact customers for payment arrangements, facilitate extensions and modifications, and handle office operations in the manager's absence, ensuring efficiency and compliance across the branch.

Qualifications

• 1 year Customer Service experience in any field.
• 6 months Collections experience, a plus
• High School/GED preferred
• Must be bilingual in Spanish speaking
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and common software applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative approach.
• Excels in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, with excellent communication and persuasive skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in basic math and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Persuade customers to pay the amount due or arrange payment via phone or mail.
• Close loans by explaining all loan requirements.
• Make collection calls on overdue accounts.
• Use location services to locate past due customers.
• Ensure accurate processing of applications and timely updates of customer information.
• Sell ancillary products where applicable to drive growth.
• Maintain loan documents per company guidelines and regulatory rules.
• Enter payments into loan management software and update notes.
• Oversee office operations in the manager's absence to maintain continuity.
