Job summary

Plains Area Mental Health, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join our Cherokee team and help individuals and families receive compassionate behavioral health services. As a CCBHC, our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality care.

Make a meaningful clinical impact with a Master’s degree and Iowa licensure; salary $60,000–$80,000 with a $3,000 bilingual differential. After 3–6 months, hybrid scheduling up to two remote days per week is available, along with robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for clinical licensure and independent practice.
• Iowa LMHC, LISW, or LMFT licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and diagnostic interviews for children and adults.
• Develop treatment plans and provide outpatient individual counseling.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, case managers, peer support specialists, and other members of our multidisciplinary care team.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide emergency behavioral health services when appropriate.
• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (additional compensation provided).
• Provide clinical supervision hours for temporary licensed clinicians pursuing full licensure.

Education

Master's Degree (MA, MS, or MSW)
