Job summary

Konare Law in Timonium, MD, is seeking an Interpreter/Translator (Bilingual English/Spanish/French/Haitian Creole) to support consultations, client meetings, and USCIS interviews on-site. The ideal candidate will provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, sight translations, and document translations, while maintaining strict confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate with two years of interpreting experience.
• Certification: Translator/Interpreter certification preferred.
• Language proficiency: Full professional fluency in English, Spanish and French/Haitian Creole.
• Experience: Minimum of two years interpreting and translating in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality interpretation during consultations, client meetings, trial preparations, and other legal proceedings.
• Deliver consecutive and simultaneous interpretation between English, Spanish, French/Haitian Creole, and Portuguese as needed.
• Sight-translate legal documents for clients and attorneys with precise meaning.
• Accompany clients and attorneys to USCIS interviews for interpretation support.
• Translate documents between sessions with focus on legal terminology and context.
• Offer administrative assistance to attorneys and paralegals to support office efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality per legal and ethical standards.
