A government services firm is looking for a part-time Chinese Reviewer/Editor/Certifier in Washington, DC. The role involves supporting the Department of Justice withtranslation and transcription services, including legal documents. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in their language, superior English skills, and must be U.S. citizens. The position requires a thorough understanding of legal terminology, strong ethical standards, and proficiency with Computer-Assisted Translation tools.

Qualificações

• Minimum of five years of experience in the required language and superior skills in English and editing.
• Qualifying scores ILR 4 minimum or equivalent on language/translation tests.
• Must have lived 3 of the last 5 years in the U.S.
• At least 1 year of experience with a law enforcement and/or legal department.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Fluent in both English and a foreign language in various contexts.
• Proficient in using Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, especially SDL Trados Studio.

Responsabilidades

• Support DOJ with Translation, Interpretation, Transcription and other Linguistic Support Services.
• Translate legal documents and media content.
• Ensure strict controls and confidentiality measures are in place.
