Job summary

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) seeks a temporary, full-time bilingual Legal Advocate to join the Children and Youth Advocacy Program in Seattle. Fluent English and Spanish required; one-year commitment and immediate start.

You will support direct representation of immigrant youth across Washington, working closely with CYAP attorneys on SIJ, asylum, DACA, and related matters. Under supervision, you will assist in state court proceedings for SIJ predicate findings and take on

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages encouraged.
• Available to start as soon as possible for about one year.
• Support direct representation of immigrant youth across Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with immigration matters such as SIJ classification, asylum, VAWA self-petitions, U visas, T visas, DACA, and adjustment of status before USCIS.
• Help in state court proceedings to obtain SIJ predicate findings for eligible clients.
• Collaborate with CYAP team to coordinate casework and client communication as needed.
