Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) seeks a full-time bilingual Staff Attorney to join the Children and Youth Advocacy Program (CYAP) in Seattle. Fluency in English and another language (Spanish strongly preferred) is required; a two-year commitment is expected.

The attorney will provide direct representation and community outreach for immigrant protections before USCIS and immigration courts, including SIJ, Asylum, U-visa, and DACA matters.

Formación

• Active admission to the Washington State Bar or eligibility to waive.
• Fluency in English and another language (Spanish strongly preferred).
• Ability to provide trauma-informed, culturally-inclusive representation.
• Experience with immigration law and removal proceedings preferred.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct representation in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court, on appeal, and before DHS.
• Represent applicants before USCIS and DOS.
• Conduct outreach, legal clinics, and client intakes by phone and in person.
• Analyze case eligibility under immigration laws.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and meet grant requirements.
• Participate in NWIRP’s outreach and development efforts.
• Travel as needed and support a high-volume caseload.
