Job summary

Granger School District 204 – Granger Middle School, Granger, Washington, is hiring a District K-8 and Special Education Home Liaison. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and supports special education programs across the district.

Qualifications

• Bilingual required (English/Spanish).
• Must pass a background check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the special education administrative assistant to obtain required parent forms and interview information.
• Complete purchase orders and credit card statements with the admin assistant.
• Complete reports to support the special education budget.
• Assist in scheduling evaluations and IEPs; act as interpreter for evaluations and IEP meetings as needed.
• Translate for building meetings as needed.
• Assist in administering assessment instruments and procedures for bilingual assessments.
• Facilitate resolution of parent, student, and/or school issues for special education students.
• Maintain records of home visits.
• Understand and translate special education terminology.
• Work with families and students to maintain legal mandates.
• Transport students/parents to related services as directed by the Director of Special Education.
• Coordinate transportation for the special education bus.
• Provide coverage for absent staff as directed.
• Input yearly post-secondary survey data for state reporting.
