Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a full-time bilingual Job Coach to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Bronx. The role offers a personalized schedule and involves helping individuals learn tasks and adapt to work sites.

The 40-hour workweek may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. Travel to job sites is required and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• One year experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of around 10-20 clients, primarily in the field.
• Teach and support new workers using demonstrations, modeling and counseling.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities to ensure success.
• Travel to route new workers from home to job sites.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor progress and outcomes.
