Job summary

AHRC NYC is seeking a full-time bilingual/Spanish Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Bronx. The role offers a personalized schedule based on availability and client needs, with emphasis on field work and in-site training.

Responsibilities include coaching clients at job sites, teaching task execution, documenting progress, and coordinating travel from home to workplaces. A DSP background and strong communication skills are valuable assets.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Flexibility in work hours and scheduling is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience is preferred.

• Teach, assist, and support new workers in their jobs using task demonstrations, modeling, counseling, observation, and discussion.
• Provide training and support to workers with disabilities to ensure success in their roles.
• Travel to route new workers from home to job sites.
• Write detailed service notes after each session to monitor client progress and outcomes.

AHRC NYC is looking for a full-time bilingual/Spanish Job Coach who are compassionate and have the ability to work with a flexible schedule. The Job Coach will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Bronx. Pay Rate

$18-$21 per hour, depending on education level… plus a comprehensive Benefit package. See Benefit information below.

Schedule

40 hours per week… schedule flexibility a must with hours that may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

Essential Responsibilities

• Flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to the scheduling needs of the individual. May include early morning, evening and/or weekend hours.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience preferred.
• Understanding of Person Centered Planning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including effective writing and oral communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
