Job summary

EOS Accountants LLP. in Teaneck, NJ seeks an Accounting Staff to join our team. The role focuses on posting entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing client reporting packages while supporting tax provisions and audits.

The ideal candidate holds an accounting degree, CPA eligibility or license, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel/Word. Japanese language ability is required; teleworking options may be considered with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college/university.
• A CPA license, or qualified candidate to sit for the CPA exam.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Strong computer skills: Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Japanese language proficiency required.
• Teleworking option is available.

Responsibilities

• Understand client’s business, determine and post entries.
• Identify the circumstances that need to be recorded and make proper entries.
• Prepare reconciliations for the main accounts; create if necessary.
• Prepare reporting package in the client's format.
• Understand basics of income tax provision.
• Communicate with the client and provide accounting advice.
• Assist the client with external auditor’s requests.
• Able to assist clients with business compliance needs.
• Hands-on use of QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
• Process cash payments for client-approved invoices.
• Communicate with banks as necessary.
• Work on multiple engagements and manage time effectively.
