Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking a Janitor - Bilingual (Spanish) for Downtown Houston, TX 77026. The shift runs 6AM to 4PM, Monday through Saturday, with compensation at $13 per hour.

You will perform general cleaning of offices and the building, including vacuuming, mopping, restroom stocking, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to follow safety procedures, read and write English, and communicate verbally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the offices, building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Cleaning and stock restrooms.
• Sanitized door knobs and areas of constant contact.
• Ensure doors are locked after hours.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• General trash pick up around building throughout day.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
