Job summary

Mountain Park Health Center seeks an Interpreter Lead to work with the Language Access Manager to ensure effective communication between health care providers and patients. This role provides bilingual interpretation (English/Spanish) and supports training and documentation across locations in the Phoenix area.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of language access experience, and a valid driver’s license, with a preferred bachelor’s degree or relevant certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in language access services.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Linguistics, Spanish, or Health-related topic (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality control for language access services and ensure effective communication between providers and patients.
• Provide bilingual interpretation (English/Spanish) for limited English proficient patients.
• Serve as primary and float interpreter within assigned department.
• Assist Language Access Manager with translation of documents and training.
• Document interpreted encounters in patients' medical records.
