Job summary

State Farm insurance agency is seeking an experienced bilingual Insurance Customer Service & Sales Associate to support existing clients, handle day-to-day service needs, and assist with in-office and inbound sales opportunities. This is not a cold-calling role; the ideal candidate can identify customer needs, transition conversations into insurance discussions, and build trust from first contact through follow-up.

Prior client-facing experience and a California license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English required.
• Prior customer-facing experience in insurance, financial services, banking, retail sales, or similar strongly preferred.
• Comfortable discussing products, identifying customer needs, and handling inbound sales opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to work directly with clients by phone and in person.
• Active California insurance license preferred; licensing support may be available for the right candidate.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to balance customer service, follow-up, and sales-related responsibilities.
• Professional, dependable, and interested in a stable, long-term position.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional bilingual (Chinese/English) customer service to existing and prospective clients.
• Assist clients with policy changes, coverage questions, documentation, billing, and general insurance inquiries.
• Handle inbound and in-office insurance opportunities and assist clients with quotes and appropriate product discussions.
• Identify additional insurance needs during customer conversations and introduce relevant coverage or products when appropriate.
• Build rapport with clients and confidently guide conversations toward solutions and next steps.
• Follow up with clients on pending service requests, quotes, and insurance opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update internal systems.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and consistent client service.
• Support general office operations and workflow as needed.
