Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree or 60 college hours.
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of subject assigned.
• Abilities: Instruct students and manage behavior; assist with reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA and district.
• Plan and use instructional strategies reflecting student needs.
• Work with special education teachers to modify curriculum per IEP.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Maintain classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Communicate with parents, students, and staff.
• Provide direct instruction in Spanish and/or English.
