Job summary

Christel House Indianapolis is seeking a Bilingual Instructional Assistant at Academy South to support students with learning in both Spanish and English. This role involves collaborative work with teachers, assisting with assignments, and maintaining progress records.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively; cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Competency in using technology.
• Ability to report to work regularly and on time.
• Faithful to Christel House Schools mission and goals.
• Associate's degree with some teaching/education exposure (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Identify students below standards in specific skills in collaboration with teachers.
• Assist students with assignments reinforcing learning concepts.
• Monitor students to provide a safe, positive learning environment.
• Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring.
• Provide re-teaching and tutoring around core instruction.
• Implement instructional programs under teacher supervision.
• Attend meetings and in-service presentations related to job functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
