Job summary

Christel House Indianapolis is seeking a Bilingual Instructional Assistant at Academy South to support students in Spanish and English. You will assist with assignments, monitor learning environments, and help implement lesson plans under teacher supervision.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree (preferred) and are comfortable using technology, demonstrating teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to Christel House Schools' mission to empower students daily.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Ability and willingness to collaborate; maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Reliable and punctual attendance.
• Aligned with mission and goals of Christel House Schools.
• Associate's degree with some education exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify students below standards in specific skills with teaching staff.
• Assist students with assignments reinforcing learning concepts.
• Monitor individuals or groups to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Maintain records of interventions and progress monitoring.
• Provide reteaching and tutoring around core instruction under teacher oversight.
• Implement instructional programs and lesson plans to reinforce concepts.
• Attend meetings and in-service sessions to share information related to duties.
• Perform other assigned duties.
