Job summary

Township High School District 214 is seeking an Instructional Assistant-EL (EGHS) for a 27.5-hour workweek. The assignment runs 10 months starting August 10, 2026, with a salary of $26.60 per hour under the ESPA agreement.

This role supports licensed teachers and interacts with students and families in a collaborative school setting. The ideal candidate will have a paraprofessional designation per ISBE requirements, strong computer skills, and the ability to work with diverse student needs while

Qualifications

• Must obtain Paraprofessional designation per Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
• Must be able to lift/move supplies and materials up to 50 lbs and assist students.
• Must sit or move at workstation for extended periods and adapt to various building areas.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with staff, students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Tutoring and reinforcing classroom procedures.
• Monitor and administer assessments as needed.
• Reinforce organizational and note-taking skills.
• Assist with technology use for instruction and coursework.
• Support licensed staff in off-campus programs and classroom tasks.
• Record data regarding student progress and communicate with substitutes when necessary.
