Job summary

The Township High School District 214 Community Education Foundation is looking for an Instructional Assistant - EL for 27.5 hours/week. This role supports students in collaboration with certified staff, requiring strong English skills and the ability to assist with cultural differences.

Qualifications include a State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation, as well as the capability to lift materials and organize workflow. The assignment is for 10 months and potentially renewable based on grant funding.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain State and NCLB Approved Paraprofessional designation.
• Must exhibit organizational skills and exercise independent judgment.
• Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills and communicate respectfully.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in the classroom under the direction of certified staff.
• Provide translation of classroom material for non-English speaking parents.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance job performance.
