Job summary

Nacogdoches Independent School District is seeking a Classroom Instructional Aide Bilingual to support teachers in a dynamic elementary or secondary classroom. The aide assists with preparing instructional materials, setting up displays, and administering routine tests, all under the supervision of a certified teacher.

The ideal candidate reads and writes in Spanish, communicates effectively with students and staff, and works well with children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write in Spanish.
• Highly-Qualified Aide Status required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain administrative records and reports as needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Ensure materials and supplies are ready for classroom use.
• Supervise students during school hours and activities.
