Job summary

Cryopak in Edison, New Jersey, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on packaging and production equipment. You will read manuals, service motors, relays and PLCs, document repairs and support safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school/training preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance mechanic role, preferably in manufacturing/packaging.
• Bilingual English & Spanish.
• Knowledge of motors, relays, PLCs, electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
• Ability to read sketches, drawings and blueprints; understand hazards and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Provide emergency/unplanned repairs of production equipment during production.
• Prepare machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and replace defective parts.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Maintain daily repair logs and track spare parts inventory.
• Comply with OSHA safety rules.
• May train future machine operators.
• Other duties as needed.
