Position Title: Bilingual In-Home Clinician
Program: Intensive Home Based Therapy program
The In-home Clinician is responsible for direct services with children, adolescents, and their families. Responsibilities include evaluation/assessment, home & community-based services, outreach, case and care management, individual and family therapies, crisis intervention, record keeping, collaboration with other professionals, and related community services. The clinician is assigned to carry a pager and responds to all calls for assistance by telephone or in person, providing the majority of treatment services in the clients' homes and working a flexible schedule based on case needs.
Supervised by: Program Coordinator
Supervises: Interns and/or those designated by supervisor.
Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate clinical knowledge for crisis intervention. Able to work effectively with families and professionals, communicate well in writing and verbally, and work a flexible schedule. Must understand diverse cultural communities, especially in greater Waterbury, and be able to read, write, translate, and interpret in Spanish.
Master’s Degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or related field, with at least one year of clinical internship working with children, adolescents, or families. Connecticut licensure (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Doctorate Psychologist) preferred. MSW candidates must have LMSW at minimum. Two years of post-graduate clinical experience preferred, especially in family therapy and systems theory.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, CPR, and first aid certification.
