Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) is a nonprofit human service organization committed to enhancing the social and emotional well-being of clients across Fairfield County. The agency offers over 30 programs serving more than 13,000 individuals annually, primarily in Norwalk, Wilton, Darien, Westport, Weston, New Canaan, Stamford, and Greenwich. Programs include Home Care, Foster Care, and Adoption services, both nationwide and international.

Position Summary

We are seeking a master's-level clinician to provide in-home therapy and crisis intervention to 8–10 families. You will work alongside a mental health counselor to help families manage crises, improve functioning, and coordinate care with other professionals. Services are delivered directly in the home and community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver home-based therapeutic services, including crisis intervention, parent education, and psychotherapy
  2. Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical records
  3. Coordinate with schools, providers, and other supports involved in the child's care
  4. Participate in weekly clinical and peer supervision, and team case rounds
  5. Rotate on-call duties for 24/7 crisis response
  6. Work flexible hours to meet family needs, including evenings and occasional weekends

Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or license-eligible)
  2. Experience working with children/adolescents and families, especially in crisis or with emotional/behavioral challenges
  3. Strong cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations

Additional Requirements

  1. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
