GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair major appliances in customers' homes across USA, including Carolina and Puerto Rico. You will operate a service van, manage parts, document repairs, and ensure high-quality service while meeting productivity goals.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, EPA and technician certifications, and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Diagnosing and repairing major appliances experience required.
• Valid state driver’s license, EPA, and Technician license/certifications.
• CFC Certification or willingness to obtain within a reasonable time.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Proven good communication skills.
• Self-directed and solid team player.
• Have a verifiable, stable work history.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and other service information.
• Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime.
• Ability to deescalate situations and rebuild customer confidence in products.
• Ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and vibratory tools.
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time in a service van.
• Ability to lift parts min. 58 lbs., carrying 32 lbs., and pushing/pulling 28 lbf.

Responsibilities

• Conduct appliance diagnosis and in-home repairs on GE Appliances.
• Operate service van on assigned routes to repair locations.
• Record repairs, invoices and close calls upon completion of service call.
• Maintain high level of skill and proficiency in appliance repair.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
• Promote and sell GE Appliances parts and water filters.
• Meet productivity and efficiency goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
