Catholic Charities of Oregon is seeking an Immigration Attorney / DOJ Accredited Representative to join the Immigration Legal Services team in SE Portland. This role focuses on family reunification and protection for vulnerable immigrants, providing direct legal services to low-income clients.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school and bar admission in any state or DOJ Accreditation.
• One year of immigration law experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish and English clearly and concisely.
• Experience with immigration case management software; Law Logix preferred.
• Commitment to Catholic Charities mission and serving vulnerable populations.
• Able to organize, prioritize, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct immigration legal services to low-income individuals.
• Offer legal consultations and representation.
• Represent clients before DHS in family-based petitions, waivers, consular processing, Adjustment of Status, Asylum, and related matters.
• Represent clients in Immigration Court removal proceedings as needed.
• Supervise legal volunteers, interns, and externs; coordinate trainings.
• Conduct community outreach and education events; some travel.
• Act as a representative of CCILS at community functions and meetings.
