Staffmark is seeking a Bilingual HR Specialist in Lafayette, LA to join a supportive HR environment. You will drive recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations while maintaining compliance with employment laws.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in HR or related field, has 3+ years HR experience, and prefers SHRM-CP/PHR. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS is expected to support HR processes and data management.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required; HR experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional HR experience; SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems; strong employment-law knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including postings, screening, interviews, and hiring.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and HR policy compliance.
  • Maintain HR records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
  • Support performance management and training initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics to inform business decisions.

Requirements
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional Human Resources experience
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience with recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Job Duties
