Job summary

Segrera Associates is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead human resources for a growing construction company in West Palm Beach. This onsite role requires a hands-on leader who can manage payroll, benefits, policy development, and recruiting while guiding a small HR team.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Spanish/English), with 5+ years of HR experience in construction or related trades, and demonstrated success implementing HR policies and ESOP initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Bilingual required – Spanish and English.
• 5+ years HR experience in construction, engineering, or related trades.
• Payroll systems experience with Paylocity preferred.
• Experience developing HR policies, handbooks, and employee communications.
• Benefits administration including retirement plans and ESOP familiarity.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with leadership on strategic HR priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and communication of the Employee Handbook and core HR policies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Drive ESOP documentation, education, and integration with benefits/compensation.
• Oversee payroll processing in Paylocity; serve as Paylocity administrator.
• Manage and mentor one direct report – Payroll Clerk – including training.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment, including postings, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and offers.
• Oversee benefits administration including health, dental, vision, retirement, ESOP communications; partner with brokers.
• Serve as HR business partner to managers on employee relations and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and HR best practices; maintain records.
