Humina Resource in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Operation / HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations in a hands-on, detail-oriented role within a small to mid-sized team.

The position requires Japanese-English bilingual proficiency, payroll processing experience, and a solid understanding of California labor laws. On-site work in Irvine and a compensation package in the $60k–$75k range DOE are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in human resources.
• Japanese-English bilingual is required.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of California labor laws preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in small or mid-sized companies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle HR operations including onboarding and offboarding.
• Process and manage payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Administer employee benefits (health, dental, vision, etc.).
• Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state (California), and local labor laws.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related issues.
• Support performance management and employee relations as needed.
• Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings and interview coordination.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders in both English and Japanese.
• Collaborate with management to improve HR processes and workplace practices.
