Job summary

La Clínica del Pueblo in Washington, DC, seeks a Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting, benefits, compensation, training, compliance, and employee engagement. This role serves as the main HR contact for staff and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

The position is hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 remote) and requires a bilingual English/Spanish professional with HRIS experience and knowledge of employment laws. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field or comparable relevant experience.
• 2+ years of HR experience preferred.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Recruitment and onboarding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of employment laws, ERISA, etc. required.
• Experience with full cycle recruitment preferred.
• Experience with ADP HRIS required.
• Proficiency in Office 365 required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new hire benefit orientations.
• Manage Training & Development and transportation funds.
• Oversee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions in the HRIS (ADP).
• Manage benefits enrollments and respond to benefits questions.
• Assist open enrollment processes.
• Coordinate workers' comp and FMLA requests.
