Job summary

Samsung Research America in Mountain View, CA seeks a bilingual HR Coordinator fluent in Korean and English to serve as the first point of contact for expatriate employees.

You will manage expatriates’ questions, support onboarding, maintain records, and coordinate with payroll. The role requires strong organizational skills, data reporting, and discretion in handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 3+ years’ experience working HR roles, preferably in tech companies.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Excel proficiency and Microsoft Office fluency.
• Integrity and sound judgment handling confidential information.
• Fluency in English and Korean.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for SRA expatriates, both in person and via email.
• Own and manage expatriates’ questions and requests, escalating as needed.
• Support onboarding and integration of new expatriates.
• Maintain and update expatriates’ records, documents and guidelines.
• Coordinate with payroll on inquiries (pay stubs, W-2s, benefits, verifications).
• Update Expatriates in & out reports.
• Generate reports based on internal data.
• Support People Engagement group for a seamless onboarding experience.
• Assist HRBP to manage offboarding logistics and annual calendar items.
• Improve HR processes, documentation, and workflows.
• Collaborate to streamline administrative operations.
• Support employee engagement activities and office events.
