Job summary
Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a MDFR Specialist to represent ABH and provide 6-month, home-based MDFR services through DCF, focusing on care level identification, client engagement, family recovery, and child well-being.
The specialist will work on-site at DCF, in clients' homes, or community locations, participate in case planning, and support bilingual Spanish/English communication with experience in substance use treatment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, but not required, with several years of experience in substance use treatment.
- Certification as MDFR Specialist typically lasts 9–12 months.
- Compliance with State of Connecticut and federal health and vaccine requirements.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to transport clients in a personal vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Deliver MDFR services on-site at DCF, in client homes, or in other community locations.
- MDFR Specialists may participate in DCF case consultation and service planning meetings.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred, with expertise working with Hispanic youth and families and experience in the substance use field.
