Job summary

KO Business Solutions in Chicago, IL is seeking a Medication Adherence Counselor (Bilingual) for a nonprofit focused on reducing health disparities through education, outreach, and direct services. The role requires 4–5 years of relevant experience and a strong commitment to equity and community empowerment.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social/behavioral sciences or counseling.
• Master’s degree and/or pharmacy experience preferred.
• At least one year of HIV care and management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supports clients in making informed choices on HIV treatment.
• Assists in enhancing clients’ ability to manage and maintain treatment.
• Determines treatment readiness and barriers to adherence.
• Provides treatment knowledge and educational interventions.
• Establishes trusting relationships to achieve treatment goals.
• Conducts adherence and counseling sessions (individual and group).
• Maintains client records and facilitates referrals for supportive services.
• Enrols clients in government benefit programs and manages documentation.
