Job summary

Gallup-McKinley County Schools seeks an Educational Assistant to support the Heritage Language Program. The role includes assisting the heritage language teacher, guiding students, and helping with daily classroom activities in line with state and district standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management practices.
• Ability to follow state and district education standards and procedures.
• Familiarity with filing, record keeping, and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with delivering objectives and following curriculum guidelines.
• Support students with lesson assignments and monitor/maintain classroom discipline.
• Maintain attendance and grade records, and manage classroom materials and equipment.
• Provide instructional support to individuals or groups to reinforce concepts.
• Assist in coordinating field trips and heritage language program activities.
