Job summary

Suvida Healthcare seeks a Transportation Driver to play a key role in the patient experience by safely operating a wheelchair van to transport Medicare-eligible seniors to and from Suvida Healthcare Centers. The role includes vehicle upkeep and routine maintenance, plus transporting patients on day trips in a handicap-accessible vehicle.

Responsibilities also cover assisting patients, securing wheelchairs, and documenting trips.

Qualifications

• 2+ years progressive work experience in healthcare transportation.
• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience with operating wheelchair securing devices.

Responsibilities

• Drive wheelchair van to transport non-emergent patients to and from Suvida Healthcare Centers.
• Care for vehicles and ensure maintenance is completed on schedule.
• Transport patients during day trips using a handicap-accessible vehicle.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs with restraining devices.
• Report service disruptions to clinic staff or Center Director.
• Keep records of trips, mileage, and accidents.
