Job summary

Access to Healthcare Network in Reno seeks a Health Resource Specialist who is bilingual in English and Spanish. You will screen callers for eligibility across Nevada healthcare programs and assist with front desk tasks as needed.

The role requires strong customer service and data-entry skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage information, and support program operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Two years of customer service experience are required.
• Knowledge of AHN services and ability to learn administrative systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and office applications is expected.
• Ability to interact with clients and staff in a compassionate, professional manner.
• Must adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of healthcare programs including AHN, Nevada Check-Up, Medicare, Medicaid, and private plans.
• Handle inbound calls with accurate information on program requirements and referrals.
• Assess caller needs with professionalism and empathy to ensure a positive experience.
• Input and maintain caller data in the database and support service operations.
• Provide backup support for front desk and transportation as needed.
• Coordinate with supervisors and internal teams to resolve issues.
