Job summary

We Are CASA is seeking a Community Organizer to identify and foster grassroots leadership, recruit members, maintain committees, and mobilize for campaigns. The role requires driving as needed and coordinating local meetings within Maryland, with a commitment to social justice and non-profit community advocacy.

Responsibilities include one-on-one outreach, developing leaders, organizing events, and representing the organization before stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable car.
• Comfort driving passengers in a van and/or community member transport in a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• One-on-One outreach in the field to recruit and engage members.
• Develop local leaders and provide leadership training.
• Organize local committees and hold regular meetings.
• Mobilize members for state and national campaigns and events.
• Represent We Are CASA before media, lawmakers, and coalitions.
