Job summary

Empower Community Care seeks a Functional Family Therapist for the San Fernando Valley area,Reporting Office: Northridge, CA. You will join a multidisciplinary FFT team delivering home- and community-based mental health services to children and families, with flexible evening hours and on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities include intake assessments, treatment planning, family and group therapy, and collaboration with schools and service agencies.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Experience with children/adolescents with intensive needs is required.
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills are required.
• Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions.
• Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, community-based mental health services as part of a Functional Family Therapy team.
• Conduct intakes and comprehensive clinical assessments, including diagnosis, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Work with youth and families in home, school, and community settings; collaborate with schools and service agencies.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy in various settings; emphasize accessibility and engagement.
• Participate in Child and Family Team meetings and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Respond to client crises and may be on-call after hours.
• Maintain up-to-date records in the FFT CSS system including progress notes.
• Provide the majority of mental health services in home, school, and community settings.
• Full-time, 40 hours/week with at least 3 evenings per week until 8pm.
