Job summary

Northeast Valley Health Corporation is seeking a Clinic Clerk II - Floater to support front office operations across our health centers. You will handle patient registration, eligibility screening, and medical records tasks while delivering friendly, professional service.

Ideal candidates communicate effectively in English and Spanish, work well in a team, and adapt to a dynamic environment. On-the-job training will be provided; travel across centers is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1 year front office duties including patient registration, eligibility screening, and medical records clerical work.
• Must travel to all NEVHC health centers as directed by supervisor.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Team player with flexibility in a changing environment.
• Sensitive to diverse cultures; professional and caring communication.
• Self-starter who can handle interruptions and work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with electronic health record databases within 3 months of training.
• Fluency in English (speaks, reads, writes).
• Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translates, reads, writes).
• Maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Valid California driver’s license and appropriate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in front office roles including patient registration, eligibility screening and medical records clerical duties.
• Answer phone calls and assist patients courteously.
• Travel to NEVHC Health Centers as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient information in the EHR system.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth daily operations.
