The Village Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Home Study Writer to assess and document the strengths and needs of families pursuing foster care or adoption, and to approve or deny based on SAFE home studies.

The role requires interviewing resource families and relevant others, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and program regulations. You will work closely with supervisors, manage case activities, coordinate interviews within tight timelines, and prepare psychosocial assessments.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in social work or a closely related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• California Driver's License required.
• Fingerprint clearance as per licensing requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Review a family’s file after assignment of home study.
• Schedule and conduct initial and follow-up interviews with families and relevant others.
• Complete SAFE home study with required certification and timeliness.
• Submit finalized assessments to supervisor and provide copies to families.
• Maintain weekly case consultations with supervisor.
• Assist with day-to-day office operations and trainings as needed.
