Job summary

LiveKit is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers building real-time communication and voice AI applications on the LiveKit platform. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and customer implementation.

You’ll collaborate with customer teams to design architectures, build integrations, debug production issues, and develop reference implementations that demonstrate best practices for scaling LiveKit-powered apps.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in backend or infrastructure engineering.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• Experience with developer platforms or real-time systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time apps with customer engineering teams.
• Create scalable architectures for voice AI and real-time media.
• Build prototype integrations and sample apps to accelerate development.
• Guide customers through SDKs, APIs, and deployment strategies.
• Lead architecture sessions with developers and product teams.
• Contribute to LiveKit open-source ecosystem when helpful.
